1. Mr. Hummel spoke about the request from the
Wellness Committee about getting funding to help purchase a Wii Fit program.
The cost is $2000, but he was asked to see if he can find better pricing. A

The electronic keyboard for the music program
has been purchased, but we have not received an invoice to pay.
3. The binding machine has been purchased, but we have not received

Funds Requests
* Early childhood- asking
for funds to pay for new paints and magna tiles (5 sets). Since they did not
take a fieldtrip the past 2 years a motion to pay entire amount of $642.53 was
made by Mrs. Boldger, second- Mrs. Haeni
*Mrs. Boldger requested
funds for JK/K to go to Royal Oaks Apple Orchard. Cost is $9.75/student with
102 students going. We will pay $382.50 making the cost $6/student. Motion-Mrs.

2.
Fundraising for 2013-2014 school year was discussed. We
are getting a large amount of catalogs. We
discussed selling Tupperware and providing concession for sporting events. We
decided to stick with the Flower Bulb fundraiser and were asked to be
brainstorming ideas for a fall fundraiser.

Funds Requests
* Troy Hummel representing the Walworth Physical
Education Team, requested $1200 to purchase an archery unit for use with the
rand 8th grade students. The set includes: arrows, safety glasses, 3
targets, 3 stands, a cart, arm guards, 6 bows. An idea to pay half this year
and half next year was brought up. The program would then start in the 14/15
school year. Tabled until the November meeting. Motion- Mrs. Gibbs, Second-
Mrs. Kling
*Diane Schroeder- requested funds for the 6th
grade trip to see the Christmas Carol in Milwaukee and attend the Art Museum.
51 students will attend. We agreed to pay $10/student. $510 motion-Mrs. Holt,

2.
Budget.-
We reviewed and changed the budget. Copies are available upon request.
3.
Original Artworks- Mrs. Gibbs volunteered to take over and make
this available this school year.
4.
Parent Teacher Conferences- We discussed having
parents make cookies to have out by the office for parents as they wait for
their appointment. Mrs. Pieper will contact Mrs. Coleman to make sure the baked
goods are wanted. If they are Mr. Gilmore and Mrs. Martin volunteered to bring something.
Mrs. Pieper will contact other parents for more help.

Market Day: Mary Jones came to speak about how
to increase our profit from Market Day. Our sales are down compared to years
past. She suggested adding in a Bonus Day flier or utilizing their Spring
Lifestyles flier to increase profit.

Martha Halma- Following up on the request for
funds of $1200 to purchase an archery unit for the PE department to use with
7th and 8th grade students for the Lifetime Fitness program.
Discussion to pay a portion and use middle school Box Tops revenue to fund the
rest. Motion to pay $300 this year and see if Box Tops can cover the rest- Mrs.
Gibbs, Second- Mrs. Haeni
3.
Binding Machine-- We
received the receipt and paid for the binding machine.
4.
Request for Funds for the Kindergarten art
supplies. The supplies were purchased and received. We are still waiting a
receipt to pay for the supplies.
New Business:
1.
Funds Requests
* Mrs. Kleich (ELO) requesting funds to purchase
a robotics kit so students could compete in a competition. One time funds
request for $299. Motion- Mrs. Gibbs, Second- Mrs. Martin
2.
Fundraising: Spring Flower Bulbs
kick off will be March 3-14, 2014. Orders would be back before Mother's Day
We decided to try a Bonus Day with Market Day
for Spring. Next fall the plan is to really utilize Market Day in the Fall.
3.
Field Day: Mrs. Pieper would like to plan a last day of
school field day for JK-4. This will take many volunteers to run the event. If
you are willing to help in any way, please contact Mrs. Pieper. Motion to move

4.
YESS: Mrs. Boldger and Mrs. Coleman are on the YESS
(Youth Empowerment Search Strategies) committee and feel like they have similar
goals as Parents Club. They wish to join forces with Parents Club and work as a
team to get families, the community, students more connected. We happily
accepted them to join our team.

Field Day: Station ideas were discussed. Mrs. Kling
suggested that many teachers would rather have the last day in the classrooms.
Mrs. Dowden will check with Jk-4th grade teachers to see where they
stand on the issue.

YESS:
Free Bingo Night discussed for late Jan/early Feb. Prizes: school supplies that
Mrs. Coleman already has on hand. Possible popcorn and baked goods. We agreed
to help YESS with this family night. Motion: Mrs. Kling, Second: Mrs. Dowden New Business:
1.
Fundraising: Market Day incentive will be implemented to
bring in more funds. We are currently only getting 20 orders/month. We will do
the Bonus Day in March. Incentive to get more orders: getting Mr. Wilson to
wear Packers jersey for a day or pie in the face. Motion: Mrs. Kling, Second:

2.
Bulletin Board: We will be revamping the Parents Club
bulletin board. Plan is to make it more informative to parents about the club.
We will post income sources, a current Market Day flier, Communication from the
public, upcoming events, minutes and officer contact information.
3.
Resignation: Kim Jordan is stepping down as Vice
President. If you are interested in filling the position, please contact a
current officer. Elections will be held in the coming months.
4.
Student Microwave: Mrs. Kling wonders
if the school can have a few microwaves for student use at lunch time. Mrs.
Coleman directed her to Mrs. Larson. Tabled until further information is
gathered.

to Mrs. Kelly. Mrs. Kelly feels that it would become a liability. There is no

1 Election
for Vice president: Tabled until Feb meeting due to low attendance.
2.
Highway 14 Project: Mrs. Freeman brought a poster of the new
plans for the highway. This plan runs a mere 53' from the school building. It
lessens parking by 20 spaces and make the turnabout obsolete. Mrs. Freeman asks
that parents make their voices heard to the Village Board. A note will be sent
home with a paper to sign and return from parents. Parents Club will then turn
them into the village board.
3.
Anti-Bulling Week: Request for funds for $400-500 to pay for an
assembly
benefiting Jk-8th grade on Feb 10th.
Motion to grant $400- Mrs. Kinane, Second- Mrs. Coleman
4.
Fundraising: Market Day cookie
sales will be headed up by Mrs. Kinane. She will contact the Market Day rep and
get an incentive program in place.
5.
Art Fair and Ice cream social: May 2014, Ideas for a silent auction and Market Day table to
increase funds.
6.
Staff Target Gift cards: The board made a
decision to purchase 78 gift cards for the entire staff for Christmas. Funds
were already allocated for the gift cards during the October 2013 budget
meeting.

huge success! There were over 150 people in attendance. $183 was raised for the

13 February 2014 at 7:30am in the teacher's workroom. All parents are welcome
to attend.
4.
Highway 14 Project: Parents are greatly
encouraged to make their voices heard. Fill out the survey Parents Club put out

New Business:
1.
Funds Request: Mrs. Boldger
requested help with taking the JK/K classes to the Whitewater Young Auditorium
Concert featuring Greg & Steve. The current cost is $12.25/student for 96
students. Motion to pay $2.25/student totally $216 by Mrs. Gibbs, Second- Mrs.
Kinane
2.
Election for Vice president: Valerie Gibbs was
nominated by Mrs. Kinane. Unanimous vote. Welcome to the board Mrs. Gibbs.
3.
Fundraising: Mrs. Kinane is
heading up the cookie sale fundraiser. Sales will be March 5-19th.
Market Day will pay for our pizza party incentive for the top 10 sellers + a
friend. Two kickoff assemblies will be held the morning of March 5th
4.
Questionable Receipt: We received at
receipt from Kathy Wohlbedacht in the amount of $33.74 for games for study hall
an indoor recess. Approval was denied due to lack of proper paperwork. Mrs.
Larson will look into the matter.

1. Market Day Cookie Sale: Mrs.
Kinane reports that we had $9297 in retail sales bringing us to about $3700
profit. Orders will arrive on April 16th at 2:45pm. Orders will be
ready to pick up between 3:30-4:30pm in the Multipurpose Room. She is
requesting some volunteers to help with distributing orders.
2. Field Day: Mrs. Gibbs is still looking for Volunteers to
help run the event. If you are interested in helping, please contact a board
member.
3. Art Fair and Ice Cream Social: May 13, 2014, Mr. Gilmore
heading this event. Grade level baskets discussed for silent auction. Mrs.

4. Yess Update: They will be putting on the book fair and game exchange during the
Art Fair next month.
5. Hwy 14 Project: Mrs. Larson has premade letter and addresses to send to senators.
Mrs. Reed will be putting together a website called, “Sign Up Genius” to help
with automated calling and emails. The next village board meeting is Monday
April 14th at 7:30pm at the Village Hall. Come make your voices
heard!!
Mrs. Freeman spoke with Paul Ryan and wrote to Sen. Baldwin.
Keeping the communication going is very important. We had an article write up

Kleich reported that the students are busy working on their robot design. Five
kids ranging from 6th-8th grade will go to the
competition on May 1st.
